Our Learning Approach

Learning that starts with a question and leads to understanding

Not Just What Children Learn. How They Learn.

A memorable lesson does more than deliver facts. It invites children to notice, question, discuss, investigate, practise and reflect. At Rosemary, we aim to connect secure subject knowledge with active learning experiences that make understanding visible

Enquiry-Led

A lesson may begin with a mystery, a photograph, an object or a question. Children learn to make predictions, seek evidence and explain their thinking.

Conceptually Strong

Teachers build ideas progressively. Learners revisit important concepts with increasing depth, so that knowledge becomes connected rather than fragmented.

Active and Experiential

Reading, making, observing, experimenting, speaking, writing and presenting give students different routes into understanding

Reflective and Responsive

Teachers use questions, observations and short assessments to decide when to revisit, extend or approach a concept differently.

Locally Rooted, Globally Aware

Our children may investigate rainfall in Tirunelveli while learning about water security around the world; compare local habitats with other ecosystems; or explore how communities solve common problems.
